Subchains and Checkpoints

Authority starts in a single governance box: a wallet or IdP creates the authority token, and that IdP can itself be PIC‑X compliant. PIC‑X exchange lives in the same boundary, then sends a compact checkpoint into a fast subchain across a decentralized constellation: three moving swarms of autonomous AI agents. Governance programs policy into the Trust Anchor guardrails before the agents move: every handoff crosses a governed policy check, and any bypass is rejected. In this example every fourth signed agent hop returns to PIC-X and folds into a compact checkpoint. Governance remains anchored at the IdP source and at PIC‑X enforcement.

Wallets and IdPs create authority. PIC-X-compliant IdPs can originate it, while PIC-X propagates and enforces it.

The hot path is local: autonomous AI agents can move quickly, but every local handoff still crosses a governance-controlled policy check.

Compact after return

PIC-X validates each four-agent history and emits one checkpoint. Receivers after it do not replay every inner agent transition.

This is an explanatory visualization, not a wire-format trace. It sketches authority propagation: a wallet or PIC-X-compliant IdP originates authority, PIC-X materializes a compact PIC Token JWT checkpoint, direct AI-agent hops carry a bounded subchain through Trust Anchors that execute governance policy, and revocation can arrive from the source or from PIC-X policy.
